Flipkart has taken a minority stake in TravClan, a B2B travel tech startup, to strengthen the international holiday packages it sells through Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel. The deal was reported on October 5, 2026. Neither the stake size nor the deal value has been disclosed.

What TravClan brings

TravClan supplies the back end that travel agents use to sell trips abroad. It currently supports outbound travel for more than 15,000 agents, who use it to build custom itineraries and book hotels and activities, with round-the-clock support at the destination. The company says it contracts directly with suppliers and runs its own ground teams, which it credits for competitive prices and consistent service.

For Flipkart, that means access to a global supplier network and on-the-ground operations it did not have to build itself.

What Flipkart wants from the deal

Flipkart's corporate development head, Nishant Verman, framed the move around changing traveller expectations: people want a holiday shaped around their interests and supported end to end, not just a flight or hotel booking. TravClan's suppliers and destination capabilities are meant to power that across both Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel.

TravClan plans to use the fresh capital to scale its platform, deepen supplier relationships and hire across engineering, business development and operations.

Why it matters

TravClan's CEO and co-founder, Arun Bagaria, points to India's rise as one of the world's largest outbound travel markets, with first-time international travellers driving much of the growth. His argument is that the opportunity lies in making those trips cheaper without letting service slip.

That is where this partnership is aimed: pairing a large consumer marketplace with a supply-side specialist. Two things to watch are how quickly curated international packages appear on Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel, and whether TravClan's agent-focused model coexists smoothly with Flipkart's direct-to-consumer channels. Neither is addressed in the announcement.
